Fondata da Antonio Invernizzi, la rivista raccoglie contributi su temi e problematiche inerenti i rapporti interculturali tra Oriente e Occidente nel mondo antico. Il nome della rivista deriva dal popolo dei Parti, essendo il loro impero collocato al centro di un'area geografica e di un tempo storico unitari, a dispetto della molteplicità delle componenti culturali e della varietà dei fenomeni storici. La rivista è pubblicata da Istituti Editoriali e Poligrafici Internazionali, Pisa - Roma. Sul sito è possibile consultare un indice dei contributi finora pubblicati.
