Conference: “Rappresentare l’uomo: due mostre, due sguardi sulla figura umana”: a dialogue between Stefano de Martino and Pietro Cesare Marani

On 29 September 2026, the Fondazione Ligabue in Venice celebrates ten years of exhibitions by revisiting some of the most significant ones. During this conference, Professor Stefano de Martino will discuss the themes and contents of the exhibition "Idoli, il potere dell'immagine”, held at Palazzo Loredan from September 2018 to January 2019. He will dialogue with Professor Pietro Cesare Marani, who will present De’ Visi Mostruosi e Caricature. From Leonardo da Vinci to Bacon. Both scholars are members of the Scientific Committee of the Fondazione Giancarlo Ligabue.
