On 24 September, the first group of Turin archaeologists departed for Seleucia on the Tigris in Iraq. The mission, directed by Professors Carlo Lippolis and Vito Messina, is coordinated by CRAST and the University of Turin, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. A second group of archaeologists will join the team at the site in the second half of October, continuing fieldwork until 19 November. Investigations are continuing in the north-eastern sector of the site, in correspondence with a hypothetical large agora.
