Tell al-Sarah

During the Sasanian period, the microarea around tell Yelkhi saw a resumption of activities, certainly due to the canal works whose remains were found during the geomorphological prospecting, which led to a favourable renewal of environmental conditions.

Therefore, the village of Tell al-Sarah most likely belonged to a series of rural settlements that developed thanks to a policy of agricultural exploitation promoted by the central Sasanian power.
